Cyber Security Analyst

Your Role:

Ordr is looking for a world-class Cyber Security Analyst to drive industry awareness and product capabilities for incident response. This position will report to the Chief Product Officer and will track and respond to new threats in the industry, brief customers, advise on product enhancements, and aid Ordr’s internal product & security operations. The individual needs to be steeped in cyber security investigative skills, excellent at incident response communications, and adept at influencing product development.

Your Opportunity:

  • Lead awareness of how Ordr’s portfolio can identify and mitigate security incidents, with a timely focus on newly announced threats and vulnerabilities
  • Product ownership of product features for security incident monitoring, detection and response capabilities
  • Assist building and managing a security incident test lab
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure timely resolution of product security incidents and events
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with external researchers, reporting organizations and customers to ensure effective collaboration
  • Advise and assist with Ordr’s information security and privacy program
  • Ready to be an anchor in the product management function over time

What You’ll Need:

At least three years of experience with CSIRT, CIRT, PSIRT functions

Experience with issue management as well as designing/defining proactive mitigation strategies

Understand common classes of product security vulnerabilities and attack/defense methodologies deeply

Experience with various application security tools – vulnerability scanning, pen testing, code analysis

Strong understanding of Windows, Linux and IOT systems

A solid foundation in networking and internet security protocols and technologies

Background working with data logging applications (e.g. Splunk)

Scripting skills (Python/Perl/Ruby, shell scripting) or development experience (Java/C++/Python)

GSEC, GCIH, CEH, GCIA or CISSP certifications are a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A self-starter who can organize a collaborative effort, deliver on aggressive promises, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably with a combined engineering or security focus

 And Ideally:

Worked with or in a product development team

Lead a security operations team

Versed in NAC, segmentation, firewalls, IOT security, IT asset management

Vertical market experience in one or more of manufacturing, energy, retail, hospitality, and government

Experience in early and mid/late stage companies
